Rethinking garden hose connectors.

Qwickhose connector is fresh take to, the nowadays classic, quick release fittings. These tend to be fiddly to insert and remove hoses, they also require the hose to be reinstalled due to leaking and its lifespan can to be short due to broken teeth (elements that grips hose). This new connector aims at tackling all the above, plus making gardens gear look fun and easy to use.

Design Process

The main focus of the project was to explore creative ways to clamp a hosepipe and achieve a system that was both beneficial for the user and that had a unique IP. After hours and hours creating 3D-printed prototypes and taking existing products apart, we were ready to validate ideas with users and achieve an innovative solution. After rounds of development and testing and tight collaboration with manufacturers and suppliers, we achieved a product that felt just right.

The Starter Kit

The market release of Qwickhose connector needed a little something extra so we created and developed a wall mount, a spray-end and tap fitting all in brand with the positioning and styling guidelines that we created.
